Directing at the Conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested ministries, branches and localities to step up the implementation of the objectives of Decision No. 417 / QD-TTg on approving the Overall Action Program to implement Resolution No. 120 / NQ-CP of the Government.
Accordingly, from now to 2020, ministries, branches and localities will focus their efforts on eroding sea and river dike projects in Mekong Delta provinces and cities, and immediately deploy infrastructure projects. pressing and piloting economic transformation models.
From 2021 to 2030, the whole Mekong Delta region will focus on promoting projects and tasks of capital construction investment requiring large funding sources; maintain and update an interdisciplinary database system, conduct basic surveys on natural resources and environment in the Mekong Delta region; implement reasonable economic models that have been successfully piloted; continue to invest and develop infrastructure, develop and mobilize resources.
From 2031 to 2050, it will focus on adjusting the goals and items accordingly to build the Mekong Delta until 2050 to become a high-quality commodity agricultural area, combined with services and tourism. ergonomics; have a fairly high development level compared to the whole country in terms of social and economic organization and infrastructure network adapting to climate change, adapting to water resources conditions and safety before natural disasters.
