Associate Professor, Dr. Trieu Anh Ngoc – Senior Expert on Hydrological and Flood Risk Management

Mr. Trieu Anh Ngoc completed two Master programs simultaneously in 2012. He successfully defended his thesis on “Mathematical Modeling for Optimal Operation of Multi-use Dau Tieng Reservoir, Tay Ninh – Vietnam” in the Water Environment Engineering Laboratory, Kyushu University, Japan.

Also, in 2012, he successfully defended his thesis on “Assessment of environmental load capacity and proposal measures of environmental index control for river basin under the impact of sea level rise especially in Mekong River Delta, Vietnam” within the program on International Environmental Leadership, The East Asia Environmental Strategist Training Program, Research Institute for East Asia Environment, Kyushu University, Japan.

In 2015, he completed a Doctor program at Kyushu University, Japan with a thesis on “Development of Numerical modelling for Water Resources Management of the Dong Nai – Saigon River Basin in Context of Climate Change and Rural Development”.

He possesses more than ten years of extensive working experience in hydrology, hydrodynamic and environment. He also has rich knowledge and experience in design, coordination, and management of water environment projects, SCADA in water supply and irrigation, training programs/projects on capacity building for water supply, drainage and treatment technical staff.

He is recognized to have excellent analytical, conceptual, visionary and programmatic competencies. He has sound understandings of administration/organizational structure of Vietnamese government. He gains expertise in participatory and decentralized approaches as well as sensitive working approach with the government staff in capacity building and training in water and natural resources.
