On October 31, 2017, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a US $ 170 million credit to help Vietnam improve urban infrastructure and respond to climate change through the Development project. Urban areas type two. The project is implemented in 5 years in the provinces of Ha Giang, Vinh Phuc and Thua Thien Hue.
The project aims to improve and expand the transport network, gradually completing synchronous urban infrastructure; at the same time, create a driving force for urban development, promote the development of business and service trade and exploit tourism potentials, create jobs and increase incomes for local people; improve environmental sanitation, enhance the urban environment landscape thereby improving health and quality of life for about 116,000 beneficiary households in the project provinces.
